Send a parcel from Lyon to Dakar
Live in Lyon, Villeurbanne or Vénissieux and need to send a parcel to Dakar? Rather than trekking up to Paris to drop off a box, hand it to a verified traveller flying out of Lyon-Saint-Exupéry with room to spare in their suitcase.

How it works
On this route, the easiest option is often to post a shipping request: you give the weight, the contents and roughly when you want it to go, and travellers heading to Dakar send you their offers. You can also search the posted trips yourself. If no departure from Lyon matches your dates, widen the search to flights from Paris.
What it costs
The traveller sets a price per kilo, or is happy for you to make them an offer. You talk it through in the app, either side can counter, and the price you settle on is the one that applies. The only addition is the service fee, always shown before payment.
How long it takes
Between Lyon and Dakar, the journey often involves a stopover, in Paris or elsewhere: expect 8 to 12 hours in many cases, depending on the connection. The parcel lands at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD), some 50 kilometres from central Dakar, so the handover is usually arranged in town once the traveller has arrived.
Tracking and safety
Every traveller has their identity checked before posting a trip. At handover, they scan the parcel's QR code and take a geotagged photo; you then watch it move from handed over to in flight, arrived and delivered. Payment by card, Wave, Orange Money or wallet stays held until your recipient gives their 6-digit code.
Frequently asked questions about this corridor
Do I have to find a traveller leaving from Lyon?
No. If a traveller departing from Paris suits you, you can hand the parcel over in the Paris region. The point of searching Lyon first is to save yourself the round trip: the handover happens close to home, at a meeting arranged with the traveller.
What can I put in a parcel for Dakar?
Anything legal and declared: clothes, shoes, beauty products, accessories, presents for the family. Drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, live animals and identity documents are prohibited. The traveller sees your declaration and photos before accepting the parcel.
What happens if the parcel does not arrive?
Open a dispute from the app within 15 days. The traveller's payout is suspended, the Yadony team reviews the evidence (scans, photos, messages) and reaches a decision within 72 business hours.
