Send a parcel from Marseille to Dakar

Marseille has a long-established Senegalese community, from Belsunce to the northern districts. Yadony lets you send a parcel from Marseille to Dakar by entrusting it to a traveller flying out of Marseille Provence, once their identity has been checked.

How it works

On this route, the price is open to discussion both ways. You find a Marseille–Dakar trip and make the traveller an offer, or you post your request and travellers make offers to you. Once you agree, you arrange a meeting in the Marseille area and the parcel is scanned at handover.

What it costs

The traveller chooses how to charge: per kilo, a per-item price list, or open to offers. You pay by card, mobile money or from your Yadony wallet, and the amount is held until delivery. Cash is possible if the traveller accepts it, but without that protection. The service fee is shown before any payment.

How long it takes

From Marseille Provence, the journey to Dakar often involves a stopover and frequently takes 7 to 11 hours depending on the connection; if your traveller has a direct flight, it is considerably shorter. The parcel lands at Blaise Diagne International Airport on the day of the flight, and the handover is then arranged with your recipient.

Tracking and safety

Traveller identity checked (ID document and selfie) before any trip is posted. At handover in Marseille, a QR code scan and a geotagged photo; in Dakar, delivery is only confirmed with the 6-digit collection code. A problem? You have 15 days to open a dispute, settled on the evidence within 72 business hours.

Frequently asked questions about this corridor

Can I offer the traveller my own price?

Yes, if their listing accepts offers. You send an amount and they accept, decline or counter, and you can do the same with their offers. Until something is accepted, you are not committed to anything.

Why is it better not to pay in cash?

With cash, the money does not go through Yadony: it cannot be held until delivery, nor returned to you in a dispute. By card, mobile money (Wave or Orange Money, for instance) or wallet, the traveller is only paid once the parcel has reached your recipient.

Where does my recipient collect the parcel in Dakar?

At the meeting they arrange with the traveller: at the airport, in the city centre or in a neighbourhood that suits both. They follow the parcel's arrival from a web page, with no account, and give the 6-digit code at handover.
