Send a parcel from Marseille to Abidjan

Marseille, Toulon, Nice, Montpellier: the Ivorian diaspora in the south of France need not detour via Paris to send a parcel to Abidjan. On Yadony, verified travellers departing from Marseille Provence can offer the spare room in their suitcase.

How it works

Pick a Marseille–Abidjan trip in the app, or post a request with the weight and contents of your parcel to receive offers. On handover day, you meet the traveller: they scan your parcel's QR code and take a geotagged photo. That is where tracking begins.

What it costs

The price per kilo is set by the traveller, depending on how much baggage allowance they have left or what an extra bag costs them. For example: 3 kg with a traveller charging 10 euros per kilo, the traveller receives 30 euros, plus the service fee shown before payment. Some travellers are also open to price offers.

How long it takes

The Marseille–Abidjan journey often involves a stopover and then frequently takes 9 to 14 hours; a direct flight, when the traveller has one, takes about 6 hours. Whatever the routing, the parcel lands at Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport on the traveller's flight date, known before you book.

Tracking and safety

You follow your parcel in real time, step by step: handed over, in flight, arrived, delivered. Your recipient in Abidjan sees exactly the same from a web page, no account needed. Payment by card, mobile money (Orange Money, MTN, Moov or Wave) or wallet is only released to the traveller after the handover is confirmed with the 6-digit code.

Frequently asked questions about this corridor

What happens between landing and handover?

The traveller records their arrival in Abidjan in the app, and the tracking moves to arrived. They then arrange a meeting with your recipient, at the airport or in town, and the handover is confirmed with the 6-digit collection code.

Are the travellers really verified?

Yes. Before posting a trip, every traveller goes through an identity check with Didit or Stripe Identity: ID document and selfie. Before booking, you can also see their profile and the reviews left by other senders.

Can I get my money back if the traveller does not deliver?

Until delivery is confirmed, the traveller is not paid. If something goes wrong, open a dispute within 15 days: the Yadony team reviews the scans, the photos and your messages, and reaches a decision within 72 business hours. If the shipment is cancelled before the parcel is handed over, you are refunded.
